Asian Makeup How-To For Non-Asians?

I am half Chinese and half Irish, and was raised by my Asian side of the family so I am more culturally Chinese. However my appearance has no Asian characteristics, which seems to upset my grandparents (if anybody here knows what Asian families are like), and people I meet do not believe me when I say I am Asian. I have never worn makeup because I find it time-consuming and think that girls should not conceal their natural beauty, but how can I use makeup to give myself a more Asian appearance? I don't know if I can post a photo of myself, but if I can, it would probably help to know what I look like.
