Why don't women like me I just don't get it?

Okay 1st off I know that I'm a little shy, I've had girlfriends in the past and I know how to treat a women but since I moved here to California 10 months ago I've had bad luck with meeting a women. I'm starting to think that women hate me for some reason. I have qualities and interests I would think that certain women would like but I guess I was wrong, the bottom line is I can't figure out why the opposite sex hates me so much.
