I need to be blown away by a movie?

Hello all you movie-goers and connoisseurs out there. I watch many types of movies but I have been searching for a movie that will leave me speechless. I realized that there are tons of movies out there that I have yet to discover, so someone help me! I am not a fan of horrendously b-type movies but I like indie movies. I love horror but I don;t like cheesy horror. Also, though they may be very wonderful, I am not into really old movies. I'm talking from the birth of film to about the 50's. Give me lists, one suggestion, or whole libraries. Websites listing powerful movies are great too! Thanks in advance!
