In Texas, if he was on probation for the DWI while he was driving while license suspended, he would get 30 days for the DWLS but would have to go back in front of the judge who granted him probation on the DWI. Judges do not like defendants violating the terms of probation. He would be ordered to serve the remainder of his probated sentence. He may or may not be granted work release. He may be a good man for whom alcohol has kicked his butt. Hopefully this will be a wake up call for him.
