Why is it that as I become more educated, I become less religous?
I used to be a devout catholic after high school, but then I entered college and took philosophy and humanities classes. I learned about many other religions out there and looked into them. By my junior year, I got tired of the Catholic church policy, and considered myself a "liberal Christian" and only went to church once in awhile. Then as I was finishing up college, I got to the point where I believed that all religion is "man made". And that I believe in God himself. By the time I got to grad school, I noticed a lot of my colleagues were just plain theists, agnostics, or atheists. Nobody was a church goer including myself at the time. So, now I am going to graduate from grad school, and my belief is that I still believe in a higher power, but I wouldn't call him or it God, more like a "supreme being", and there are some days it seems as if "I want to believe". Is there something wrong with me? LOL!
